During the winter of 2022, I became a certified Equine Kinesiology Taping Practitioner. In addition to my Kinesiology Taping certification, I became an Equine Sports Massage Therapist and Equine Rehabilitation Therapist as well. During the last 4 years working in the equine industry, I have gained a wide range of experience and knowledge. I consistently spend time studying equine anatomy, biomechanics, equine science, and equine psychology and ethology. Performing therapy on high-level performance horses and traveling to remote locations allows me to give equines the care they all need and deserve. Calypso Therapeutics is a business that prioritizes the equine’s physical and mental well-being, offering high-level care while creating a safe and caring environment for all horses and owners.

I was born and raised in Alaska, and because I was homeschooled, I had more free time to spend with my pony, Calypso. Calypso means “the goddess of love”. The Greek goddess Calypso was charmed with the power of healing, just like my pony. Calypso healed my sorrows in a way only a horse can. I didn’t just need someone to understand me, my pony did, too. Calypso Therapeutics is named after Calypso, the pony who inspired it all. She still encourages me every day to keep learning and chasing my dreams. My goal is to help and encourage each horse and person that crosses my path, whether that be while I’m working or just in my daily routine. “The wound is not my fault, but the healing is my privilege.”
