To understand something is to know something. To know them, not you. This relates to horses just as much as in our own lives. To know a horse you need to understand how they see, how they live, and how they think. Instead of seeing how you see, how you live, and how you think. When you can communicate like a horse you can speak to that horse. 

When approaching any interaction with an equine you must remember it’s a horse! They are  not going to communicate like we do, or talk like we do. Some receive the privilege of watching how horses communicate to their herd. As a result we have the choice to practice this in our everyday interactions with horses.

One day you will be the one to see the ear twitch and the lips tighten. The eyes blink but the body stays frozen. You will be able to feel the horse. From the naked eye all people will see is magic, but it is magic. It’s the magic that happens between a horse and a human when each in the relationship is communicating in the other’s language.
